Ulysse Nardin Sonata Silicium Limited Edition Watch

Orologi Prestigiosi, Ulysse Nardin No Comments »

Watchmaker Ulysse Nardin has introduced their new watch for Baselworld. The Sonata Silicium Limited Edition watch is a limited edition of 300 pieces (in an 18K white or rose gold case). Nardin is now using silicium in all its new models. The movement is the automatic UN caliber 67 with a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. The functions include hours, minutes, seconds, large date, dual time system with instant time zone adjuster, countdown, cathedral gong alarm. The case is 42mm and it has front and back sapphire crystals with an alligator strap. It’s handsome enough and I’m sure the alarm sound is beautiful but I find the yellow hands a bit jarring on such an elegant watch.

Ulysse Nardin will introduce a new, limited edition model to enrich its highly popular Marine watch collection.  The Ulysse Nardin Blue Seal chronograph will feature a distinctive wave-pattern theme on the blue dial and matching blue rubber strap.  This pattern pays tribute to the nautical heritage of Ulysse Nardin, and its historical connection to accurate timekeeping on the high seas.  Also special to these watches are a unique titanium treatment on the movement parts, which results in a stunning blue color that can be admired through a sapphire caseback window.

The Ulysse Nardin Blue Seal chronograph watch will be presented in an edition of 1,846 pieces in stainless steel, and 999 examples in 18K rose gold.  Animated by the automatic UN-35 caliber, the Blue Seal Chronograph watches feature a two-counter chronograph function, subsidiary seconds, and a date display.  The watches are water resistant to 200 meters, and are equipped with an anti-reflective sapphire crystal and screw-down crowns and chronograph pushers.
